4 out of 5 stars Great service   January 6, 2009
Jaime Kicklighter
I was very pleased with the weather station. It arrived on time and in the condition advertised! Thanks!

5 out of 5 stars What A great Little Tool!   December 28, 2008
ZQuilts (Washington State, USA)
I must admit that this was on my wish list for some time.I am generally somewhat skeptical about how good a small home size weather station can be. I have been more than pleasantly surprised by this unit. The forecasting seems to be "right on" and that's quite often an "iffy" thing here on the West Coast of the USA. The graphics are well laid out, easy to read and accurate (what a concept!). I especially like the humidity readings which was one of the features I was looking for in a weather station. Since this is unavailable at the time of this writing I have to believe that there will either be more in stock soon or that Oregon Scientific is coming out with another model. Either way - I don't think that you will be disappointed if you buy this or a similar model.

4 out of 5 stars Happy with my Choice   December 27, 2008
M. Cushner (Jefferson Co. MO)
I wanted/needed the low temperature alarm function. This model had it and other funtions not found on many competing models. The wireless weather station worked pretty much as advertised and as expected. With voltage-checked, fresh alkaline batteries, the useful signal range for the remote was, in its location, less than the advertised 100 feet in warm/cold weather. Ex this, I'm very happy with my choice and can recommend its purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Great Product   December 20, 2008
Nola Mike
What a great product. Works great, wireless range is fantastic. Very nice having the temp/humidity displayed on the probe as well as the main unit. As far as the weather prediction, I've found it to be quite accurate--much more than I'd think, maybe 85-90%. Keep in mind that it's supposed to tell you the forecast in 12-24 hours--not the current conditions. I think it may use more than just pressure (maybe humidity as well?) to forecast. If it says it's going to rain, I've found that it WILL rain, no matter what it looks like outside currently. Pretty cool.
Shortcomings:
--As mentioned, it won't mount on a wall
--Batteries are tough to change, it specifies no rechargeables, probably because of lower voltage/worse cold weather performance. I'll try anyway when the supplied ones die.
--Atomic clock. I actually returned one of these units because the clock wouldn't sync no matter what. It eventually did--after a full week of sitting at a west facing window. At least part of the problem is likely my location (richmond, va). Anyway, once it picks up the signal, the re-sync is much quicker, though I still have to leave it by a window overnight.

4 out of 5 stars Forecast   December 11, 2008
Bill Corneth (Gilroy, CA)
I really like this wireless station, with one exception. It doesn't forecast the weather worth a darn! For the last solid week it has shown it is raining, but it has been clear, warm, and sunny. It always seems to show rain most of the time. I read the other reviews that say what a great forecaster it is, but not for me. I don't know if it's California or what, but if you're looking for an accurate weather forecast, don't get it. However if you only need an indoor/outdoor thermometer, and an atomic clock, this works great! And by the way, it is silver, not white.
